Hard-working hands are not strangers in the Straub family. After working as a general contractor for 20 years, Tim had a desire to build a home-based business where he could teach his 8 children a trade and work together as a family. So in 1998, our family began farming raspberries commercially. We learned how to work hard together and deliver a quality product.
In 2002, we needed to replace our kitchen. After looking at the local boxstore cabinets, Tim decided we would put our hands to building a quality cabinet for our home. The work was satisfying and we liked the result. Soon our cabinet business was born by word of mouth and our tractor moved over in the shop to make room for saws, machinery, and wood.
Our family lives on 5 country acres outside the Portland/Vancouver area. In the summer we still harvest our raspberries on a smaller scale to local customers, but in our shop creativity, craftsmanship, and quality cabinetry keeps our family’s hands busy all year long.
